Pre-Production
The process began with concept development. While many of our projects aim for a bright, sunny West Coast aesthetic, we deliberately chose a darker, more atmospheric theme for this one. Our key inspiration came from events like Día de los Muertos and cinematic elements that evoke a strong visual tension. To reinforce this mood, we decided to shoot in a studio, allowing us to craft a raw and ominous environment with full creative control.
Production and Post-Production
Once the final shots were captured, the post-production phase began. This part of the project heavily relied on Blender and After Effects for CGI and compositing, while Premiere Pro was used for editing, cutting, and audio mixing. The combination of live-action and CGI required a meticulous workflow to achieve a seamless final result.
Final Result
After multiple iterations and refinements, we arrived at the final video—a testament to how rewarding it can be to step outside of familiar styles and explore new creative approaches.
